Update 6/17/2018

Sabishii desu!!

Thanks and sorry for the people who’s still waiting my translation out there. I’ve decided to completely discontinue translating Sonomono series.

There were not many people reading it when I just started translating it. I could do it at my own pace and didn’t feel burdened with the other stuffs. All the comments from the readers also motivated me to keep translating more chapters.

However, when it gained popularity, some people started to boss me around, demanded more release without caring my situation. This hobby began to feel like a chore. The boiling point was when that guy poached my translation, I’ve completely lost my motivation to continue it.

I really wanted to finish translating this series on my own, but it was impossible. I’ve tried to keep my hands off this series for some months to cool down, and I’ve been translating new novel to change pace lately. But neither of them worked.

I wonder if it would be better if this series never gained popularity? Well, I’m happy when a lot people enjoying my translations though. I’m really going nowhere at this rate, so I will let it go while I can still remember it as a novel that made a lot people know me.

I’ll move on. I will start anew from zero with a new novel. Slowly, without any hard feelings…. Then again, I’m still in the middle of re-editing all chapter’s I’ve translated so far, to be more readable, and still nowhere near finish. Please wait for me patiently!

  1. Hey !
I really hope to see you release the next chapter of My Room Has Become a Dungeon’s Rest Area, i’ll be waiting for news ! 🙂

    1. Sorry, I’ve said it before that I stopped translating this series. I haven’t changed my mind, but I really hope someone out there will continue translating it! ?

    2. It saddens me to see you stop you translation at this stage, however if that is your decision then all I can do is say thank you for the work you did, and good luck with what you did next I greatly enjoyed the translation you had done. I look forward to the next one.

    3. like Halloween, i find it sad, but well, it’s best for you to not force you to translate it, so thanks for the work you’ve done on it 🙂

  2. Hey I appreciate your work. I completely understand how ya feel. No hard feelings. I hope ya find the joy in trnalating again. I look forward to your next work.

  3. Understand you about the discontinue translating of Sonomono series (Sonomono. Nochini….; My Room Has Become a Dungeon’s Rest Area), but why delete all translated chapters?

  4. I don’t normally reply or hell leave any kind of messages but I feel strongly about this. I can see how it could be angering, annoying, hell maybe even maddening to try and put up with people bossing you around and constantly begging for more chapters and what-not and the other guy poaching your translation. I have no problems with the fact you stopped translating the novels on this site. I am disturbed by the fact that you deleted all links to all the already translated now nobody at all can read those chapters and thus this novel and unless someone else translates chapters 1-152 which will probably not happen this novel is most likely dead now. Yes you might be angry but that is just not cool I was one of the people reading the novel since pretty much the beginning and I just felt I needed to say this. Yes this is just me ranting but I Believe what I said needed to be said.

If it wasn’t you but something or someone else that deleted those chapters then I apologize

  5. I didn’t delete them. Their URLs changed when I moved my blog to a new hosting, thus they’re inaccessible for the time being. I will put them back a little by a little after re-editing it.

    1. Sorry, I didn’t realize you had changed to a new host. I kinda just overreacted when I couldn’t find the old chapters.

  6. I am sorry to hear that you won’t be translating Sonomono any more. I really enjoyed reading your translations and am disappointed that so many issues came up that you lost the motivation to continue. I hope the same doesn’t happen with your next translation and you can enjoy translating it at your own pace. While I was eager to read new chapters, I also understood that, just because I am more than free enough to read chapters, it doesn’t mean that you are free enough to translate them. I wish you the best of luck and hope you find motivation and enjoyment in translating once again.
